Managing Your Mindset – with Mel Savage
December 9, 2020
It is normal to feel uncertain right now. During COVID-19, it seems like the pace of change is constant.
We don’t know when this will be over, or what the new normal will look like. It feels like nothing is within our control. While we can never control what’s happening around us, we can control what is happening within us and what we do from here.
In this session, you will explore how to effectively manage your mental health in today’s work environment, and how emotions like uncertainty can impact your thoughts and behaviours. You’ll also gain insights and strategies to help you manage your mindset and more intentionally select your behaviours to increase your ability to be productive in your life and capitalize on opportunities. These skills will help you whether you’re dealing with the impacts of COVID-19, adjusting to the new normal, or simply dealing with the uncertainties that we deal with every day.
Testing our Resilience: Coping with the COVID-19 Pandemic – with Marc Wilchesky
February 17, 2021
It is rare for individuals never to be confronted with adversity or challenging circumstances during the course of their lifetime. Whether it is having to deal with major setbacks at home, school or on the job, having to cope with serious illness in self or others, grieving the loss of a loved one, or being impacted by catastrophic natural disasters, people typically must face some hardship during their lifetime.
For the past year, the entire world has been dealing with the unprecedented challenges posed by COVID-19. Unfortunately, despite the development of safe and efficacious vaccines, the delay in the vaccine rollout means that many of these challenges likely will persist at least until the autumn of 2021.
Individuals who are resilient tend to be able to harness their inner strengths and external resources to moderate the impact of adversity and to rebound more quickly from setbacks. Participants in this webinar will learn about the critical internal and external resources that can be nurtured and developed to help them become more resilient in dealing with the hardships related to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
