The York University Staff Association and York University began negotiations on a new Collective Agreement approximately 6 months ago. On Tuesday, January 15, 2019 the parties reached a tentative agreement.

The new Collective Agreement for Unit 1 will be voted on at this meeting. PROXY VOTING IS NOT ALLOWED AND BALLOTS WILL NOT BE GIVEN OUT WITHOUT APPROPRIATE I.D. Please arrive early to avoid line-ups and bring BOTH your new membership card AND appropriate identification. Appropriate identification shall consist of either your YU-Card or an official piece of government issued identification that includes your name and photo.
According to article 7.03 of the Collective Agreement, you are entitled to a two-hour lunch period for the purpose of attending this meeting. YusApuY members working at locations other than the Keele campus are also entitled to reasonable additional time for travel.

GLENDON MEMBERS – a First Student bus will pick you up at the main entrance at 11:15 a.m., and drop off will be in front of the Tait McKenzie Building. You will be picked up from that location and brought back to Glendon after the meeting.
MEMBERS WORKING AT LOCATIONS OTHER THAN KEELE AND GLENDON CAMPUSES – if you would like to attend this meeting, please call the YusApuY Office and we will arrange for appropriate transportation to and from the Keele Campus.
