Staff, Faculty and TAs at York University have all had their wage increases capped at 1% per year for three years due to the Ford government’s Bill 124.
The courts have struck down this law and found that it violated the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
As this law is no longer in effect, we are holding a rally to call on York University to renegotiate wages now and give workers the fair wages we deserve.
The cost of living has gone up far more than 1% per year and many other universities in Ontario have renegotiated wages after this unfair law was struck down by the courts. Join us in calling on York University to give workers fair wages now.
